Our Rules

1. Only U.S. citizens. If you are Canadian, visit Parliament 2, and if you are Australian, visit Australia 2. If you are from another country and wish to set up a similar site, visit NationBuilder for details.

2. Only 1 account per person. If you're found to have multiple active accounts, all of your accounts will be disabled and your priorities removed from the site.

3. Please be civil. Government is serious, please consider this forum like you would a town hall or a legislative body. No personal attacks of any kind are allowed.

What is a personal attack?

This is okay: "That's a dumb idea."

This is not: "You're an idiot for suggesting such a dumb idea."

See the difference? You can say an idea or proposal is a bad idea (hopefully more eloquently than simply "that's dumb"), but it's not okay to attack a person.

Warnings

We take these rules very seriously. For personal attacks, we have a warning system.

The first warning is simply that. The comment will be deleted, but nothing bad will happen. If it doesn't happen again for 3 months, the warning will be expunged and forgotten.

If you receive a second warning, you will lose 10% (or 1pc, whichever is greater) of your political capital.

On the third warning, you will be put on probation, losing 30% (or 3pc, whichever is greater) of your political capital and unable to post anything on the site for a week.

On the fourth warning, you will be banned from the site.

White House 2 is a multi-partisan network of 11589 citizens imagining how the White House might work if it was run completely democratically by thousands of people over the internet. It's free and all U.S. citizens can join.

We're setting priorities, collaborating on policy, and creating a massive database of 2874 talking points covering all sides of every important issue facing our country. Watch the video intro.

Getting involved is easy and fun. Just join and start setting your priorities, like a todo list. The more people who endorse a priority, the higher it rises in the charts. The more people who join the network, the more clout we will have with the President and the media.
