“fair tax” would only tax the money you buy things with, middle income earners (<200k/yr) who spend nearly all their money to maintain their standard of living, would pay taxes on nearly all their income. while high income earners would pay less taxes then they currently do (currently 35% on income + sales tax on consumption) and they wouldn’t be taxed on most of their business transactions (where they keep most of their money) allowing the rich to become richer, faster, from these transactions.

While a national sales tax look like a winning idea at first, no more dogging the system by having an illegal and undisclosed source of income and so on, it has one major draw back. We live in a nation that has a credit economy. Adding a 25% national sales tax to what we already charge to high intrest credit cards is only going to make things worse for us, the tax payers. Plus, a thirty year morgage pays the bank six times the value of loan. Add an addition 25% to the principle in taxes.

Fairtax is an absurd deception - its actually a massive new tax on cities and states that Fairtax deliberately hides in their fine print. Fairtax leaders have no intention of even having Congressional hearings on this farce. because in ten minutes, this absurd deception of a new massive tax would be exposed. Fairtax has NOT fooled corporations, who do NOT support it. Nor have they fooled retailers, who oppose it. Fairtax is an ironic name – its really the FARCE tax.
