President Obama, please:
Real-Time Transparent and Open Government

Talking points helpful to endorsers

The best disinfectant is the light of day. The truth has its own power. The only way to prevent abuse of power is to have power use scrutinized and scrutinizable by anyone. The only way to ensure that government does not abuse its power is to have oversight of it.

Make the office, decisions and actions of the White House transparent to the people that it represents. Use the internet, technology and media to make the Nation’s leadership visible, interactive and responsive. Be an example of a positive, open-minded and representative govt.

The government can or could become more or less transparent. It is right now very secretive and for that reason all of the corruption can go on unseen. We could become as transparent as being able to see whats going, or even more transparent, by being actively involved as a population with creating and writing laws- open source government

Talking points helpful to opposers

Yes, we democratically select our representatives in government, but their purpose is to represent our interests in government (finding those who do represent our interests and not their own is always a challenge!).
Even though I follow events closer than most, I do not want to be bogged down with all the details, nor do I want to subject myself to the tyranny of the bored and under employed.

White House 2 is a multi-partisan network of 11589 citizens imagining how the White House might work if it was run completely democratically by thousands of people over the internet. It's free and all U.S. citizens can join.

We're setting priorities, collaborating on policy, and creating a massive database of 2874 talking points covering all sides of every important issue facing our country. Watch the video intro.

Getting involved is easy and fun. Just join and start setting your priorities, like a todo list. The more people who endorse a priority, the higher it rises in the charts. The more people who join the network, the more clout we will have with the President and the media.
