first ‘declared’ in 1989, the ‘washington consensus’ had been hailed as the final system…except now we’ve had 20 years of economic crisis across the globe, fueled by IMF and World Bank ‘structural adjustments’, and now we find ourselves soliciting faceless investors in order to save our own economy…we need to find other solutions, and stop trying the same failed solutions of the last decades.
