White House 2 is a multi-partisan network of 10545 citizens imagining how the White House might work if it was run completely democratically by thousands of people over the internet. It's free and all U.S. citizens can join.
We're setting priorities, collaborating on policy, and creating a massive database of 2867 talking points covering all sides of every important issue facing our country. Watch the video intro. Getting involved is easy and fun. Just join and start setting your priorities, like a todo list. The more people who endorse a priority, the higher it rises in the charts. The more people who join the network, the more clout we will have with the President and the media. |
Expanding Senior Corp is a good use of our uptapped resources. Seniors has a wealth of knowledge and skills to share. Many retired Seniors have the commodity of time to give back to others; their peers or needy children.
The three existing Senior Corps programs need additional resources to expand and maintain the cost of operations.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have a voice on the administrations priorities.
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is the best resource in little communities where money is very scarce. Volunteer sites served indicate that some activities would be eliminated without the services of volunteers. For instance, our local museums and senior centers operate strictly through volunteer services. Children in our elementary and secondary schools are receiving reading assistance and mentoring by caring adult volunteers. Where both parents are working to keep up with expenses, these volunteer resources are crucial to building a better future for all residents.
