President Obama, please:
Repeal the 17th Amendment

Talking points helpful to endorsers

Formerly, Senators received guidance from state legislatures who appointed them. The 17th cut the State of TX out of the shell of federalism. If the State of CA felt that Senator Binotz wasn’t conveying the sense of the State to the Fed he was recalled. Now the Senate works for the voters and are doing the job of the House. Write your state .gov, urge them to closely convey the sense of the State.

The federal government spends a lot of time squabbling, trying to find solutions that fit the entire country. Is it any wonder?

Different states have very different needs and wants. If we restored relevance to state government the process would be much better for all.

Repeal of the 14th Amendment is a good step toward this goal, helping us all get government we want and need.

RESTORE THE ORIGINAL INTENT OF THE FOUNDING FATHERS. This would eliminate senators running for office and the pressure to obtain funds and the influence of national lobbyists.
State legislatures are closer to their constituents than the current senators and more likely to listen to their constituents. They in turn would have more influence on their senators than the powerful national lobbies now have because of their ability to raise money for the senators from outside of their states.

I had no idea there were this many reactionaries left in the United States. This guy wants US senators chosen by state legislatures. Regressive. He hates his own freedom. We need to continue delivering power to the people and eliminate the electoral college, not to regress to the days of slavery. The next proposal will be to recognize some subset of Americans as 3/5’s of a person.

White House 2 is a multi-partisan network of 11589 citizens imagining how the White House might work if it was run completely democratically by thousands of people over the internet. It's free and all U.S. citizens can join.

We're setting priorities, collaborating on policy, and creating a massive database of 2874 talking points covering all sides of every important issue facing our country. Watch the video intro.

Getting involved is easy and fun. Just join and start setting your priorities, like a todo list. The more people who endorse a priority, the higher it rises in the charts. The more people who join the network, the more clout we will have with the President and the media.
